AUG 16 City Council vote on the Candy Factory For 25 years, the Candy Factory has been home to hundreds of community groups
seeking neutral, centrally-located meeting space. That home is now in danger of
being sold to a developer who intends to convert it into luxury condominiums.
All those who have used the Candy Factory over the years are urged to support
its continued use as a community center. This can be done by contacting city
council members who will vote on the privatization proposal on August 16. Their
e-mail addresses are provided below.
