RET Trash Pickup on August 13 To: RET Members and Friends It's about time to tidy up Pellissippi Parkway again! Weather permitting, I am scheduling an RET trash pickup on Saturday morning - August 13, 9:00a.m. - Noon, on Pellissippi Parkway. Please let me know by Thursday night if you will be able to help. ... ... And indicate whether you still have the vest you used last time, since I need to know how many vests to have on hand. Please reply to: philip.king@comcast.net (NOT to the RET listserve) or to: (865) 690-7687 We will meet at the Burger King, just off Pellissippi Parkway, at the Lovell Road exit. Come between 8:00 and 9:00 for breakfast and fellowship! If weather is bad (rain, visibility, etc.), we will of course postpone the exercise. If you have questions about cancellation, call me before 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning to find out our status. If we need to postpone, Saturday, August 20, will be our "rain date." Directions: - Pellissippi Parkway, headed northwest toward Oak Ridge - Lovell Road exit (that's the next exit after the Dutchtown Road exit and *just* after our RET Adopt-a-Highway sign - Proceed to the end of the exit, and you will see Burger King on your right *** A HINT*** If you have a small wagon or wheelbarrow, you may want to bring it along. It's difficult to drag along a (tearing) plastic bag. You'll also want to bring your work gloves. I hope you will be willing to help with this worthwhile endeavor! If so, see you on Saturday!
