Folks, as most of you know, Reality Check is an RET publication of which we are very proud. The last issue with articles from RET members Daryl Houston and Carl Ledendecker was extremely thought provoking.

Plus, the article on Abraham Lincoln's religion (or lack of) was a real revelation and useful reference. If you haven't read it, you can go to http://www.rationalists.org/pubs/newsletter.php and click on the latest issue.

While RET members have been reliably receiving RC via mail 4 to 6 times a year, we, unfortunately haven't been able to reliably distribute RC to the general public. If we could, more folks would know that RET exists. They'd also see our calendar and be directed to our events and our website. The cost for distribution is minimal-- it's the effort that is the obstacle.

RET is seeking a reliable volunteer who is willing to receive extra copies of Reality Check and distribute them to local libraries, coffee shops, book stores, etc… upon receipt.

This person would be responsible for identifying prime locations that are most suitable for dropping off between 10 and 20 copies. This person would also need to communicate with Carl Ledendecker to arrange appropriate printings. Printings are usually once every 2 or 3 months. We'd also be interested in volunteers outside of the Knoxville area (Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, Maryville, etc..) to help in distributing in their area.

RET needs to be visible and available to the public if we intend to survive and grow. Distributing Reality Check is one of the least expensive, yet most useful ways to make this happen. We need more volunteers to take action. RET needs your help.

To volunteer, please contact Carl Ledendecker at ledendecker@earthlink.net or call 982-8687
