Counselor-in-Training

We are introducing this Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program for campers 14 years and older to offer more responsibility, autonomy, and mentoring opportunities to older campers, but within a training environment. Participation is limited, and preference is given to those who have previous experience with Camp Quest. Applicants fill out applications and registration forms that are a combination of those for volunteers and campers. We ask for references and the same type of questions as with volunteers, but but also have the same paperwork as campers.

During the week, CITs will be considered much like teaching assistants and assigned to work with staff members leading the activities. Assignments will depend on the age and maturity shown. CITs should remember that staff members are counting on them to be responsible and involved in the activities. CITs should participate in activities with the other campers when there is no special role for them.

For all necessary documentation outlined above, please download the PDF CIT-application and health exam forms. If you are unable to open the documents and would like the forms mailed or faxed to you, we'll be happy to send you hard copies.
