Financial Aid Information
Camp Quest of the Smoky Mountains has a limited amount of financial aid available in the form of
partial camperships, thanks to the generosity of a few special donors. These funds come from donations directly to
Camp Quest Smoky Mountains, and to the Kagin Fund at Camp Quest, Inc., and distributed to the individual camps.
While funds are available, Camperships will be awarded based on financial need, camper interest, and service
to the community. If you wish to apply for assistance, submit this application form together with two brief paragraphs
as described in the application. Applications may be mailed to the CQSM Camp Director.
The Helen Kagin Memorial Campership fund was established to honor the life and work of Helen Kagin.
The fund is administered by the national Camp Quest office. This year, funds have been made available
to several camps including this one. In the future, applications for Kagin camperships should be made directly
to the Fund. We urge the freethought community to
support the Kagin fund through donations.
Camp Quest of the Smoky Mountains also partners with freethought organizations to provide reduced fees to
children and grandchildren of eligible members of the partner organizations. The fee reductions are reimbursed to
Camp Quest by the organization.
One partner organization is the Rationalists of East Tennessee (RET).
If you are already a member of this organization, contact RET for further information.
If your freethought organization would like to partner with Camp Quest, please contact the CQSM Camp Director.
If you would like to make a donation to support our campership program or to make Camp Quest more affordable
to all, please contact the CQSM Camp Director, or send a check payable to "Camp Quest Smoky Mountains" to:
